Itinerary description
Excellent route across Cameron HIghlands! Recommended to have a very good day with a mixture of jungle, tea plantations, strawberry plantations and Buddhist temples.
We picked a taxi from Tanah Rata to Brinchang, just told the taxi driver that wanted to do the trail 1 and they know exactly where do they have to take you.
Trail 1 starts in Brinchang and ends up at Gunung Brinchang. Is fairly easy to follow but be prepared with good shoes as it is very muddy. Don't expect big views from the top, enjoy the way.
We did a bit of Trail 11 into the Mossy Forest but it became boring so we came back.
After that, long walk until the Boh Tea Plantations through a road shared with some cars and bus. Amazing views of the Tea Plantations and mountains surrounding the area. Also, you can enter into the Strawberry fields, pick some strawberries and eat them.
After a recovering tea at the plantations (recommended) I stopped the app and turn it on after walking back to the main road. Once in the main road, we hitchhiked until a very nice minibus full of government workers drove us down to Brinchang,
In Brinchang, we ate something to recover our forces and enjoyed the visit to the Sam Poh Temple, a very peaceful Buddhist temple.
From the temple, follow trails 2,3 and 5 directly to Tanah Rata. Excellent jungle trails where some monkeys can be spotted if you are lucky.
Enjoy your walk!
