Medium-high difficulty route, with sections of pleasant trekking and areas at the limits of climbing in the rainforest.
All in all doable. Four of us did it, in addition to me, my wife and my two daughters (13 and 9 years old);
The departure is not the easiest in identifying the entry point; from the Mc Donald's roundabout in Brinchang follow the road. You will find the entrance sign to the route on the right (yellow and small). Don't go straight (it's easy to make mistakes) you will end up in a prohibited government area.
The first 300 meters will be difficult. Immediately on climbs of 100/150 metres. Subsequently the walk becomes pleasant, giving you the opportunity to observe a route which, due to its complexity, is little traveled and therefore with few traces left by man.
As you climb up the summit of Mount Brincang you will notice the changing flora, colorful flowers, carnivorous plants and a micro fauna that is fascinating in its shapes and colours.
At the summit (2005m) in addition to a breathtaking view you will find yourself in a very small flat area where you can take your first break while admiring the landscape.
The next passage, up to Mossi Forest, becomes more complex. Very humid area and with the passage of small streams it is muddy at times (don't save your shoes) ascents and descents can only be done with ropes (already present and well tied). During this stretch you will not fail to pass between streams and banana trees.
The effort is rewarded upon arrival at Mossi Forest. An elevated route (30rm fee) with a tower where it is possible to admire the entire surrounding landscape from 2080m.
The next phase is on the road and almost completely downhill. The peculiarity of this stretch is the possibility of identifying many scenic spots among farms and tea plantations, entering both to rest or take wonderful photos.
(by extending the route it is possible to reach the Bo tea plantation, above which there is an excellently stocked café).
In summary, the journey is complex but profoundly fascinating. Made up of difficult but doable sections and others that are deeply emotional. I recommend paying particular attention to the weather. The route is not easily feasible in the case of sub-equatorial storms and can be dangerous.
