Itinerary description

More Anza Borrego Hiking

Head South/West and keep left in the canyon. There isn't a marked trail.
Not a real main wash out here, just a bunch of small washes that are rather rocky.
You have to find the best places to hike, sometimes this is in the wash, but mostly just out of the wash.

It's not as bad as it looks, you should be able to avoid most of the rocks.

The palms can be found in a south branch, within a small cove, just beneath a small saddle.

There is normally no running water at the small oasis.
A faint trail runs over the saddle.

Enjoy the palms and hike back the same way you came.

How to get here. Exit Highway 86 (86 Ave) just beyond the Travertine Rock.
The dirt road is OK for all cars, stop after about 0.5 after reaching the main wash. Another maybe better option is to drive for 0.9 mile (total) and park.
A lot of stuff gets dumped just beside the road.
