Itinerary description
More Anza Borrego Hiking
An easy hike into rough Rattlesnake Canyon.
Start at about mile 32, where you find a parking and a telephone sign.
Start hiking north on a well established and marked trail (with cairns).
Follow the trail North on a sandy and than rocky trail to the wash.
Don't follow the cairns up the rim, that's another trail, to Villager Peak, but hike into the canyon to the right.
A tiny dry fall, that can be easily hiked up on the right hand side.
The rest of the hike is part sandy wash, blocked by some small boulders, that can easily be passed.
The hike could stop at a dry fall "Fall 2" that's not impossible to climb. But you should bring some ropes for the return route.
