More Anza Borrego Hiking
Start at the Visitor Center, or at the campground.
Follow the well marked trail up to the canyon. At point [4] there is a small pound, where we spotted a bighorn sheep close by.
At point [5] the nature trail heads back on another trial to point [4]. Walk towards the palm oasis [6], the trail ends here.
But it is possible to head on, stay clear of the palm trees (they may die by damaged roots) and move left above the oasis.
Because of the scrubs wear long pants. This part can be a bit scary at parts and it is difficult to find the right path.
After that some stretches are excellent but on others it is hard to find the easiest way along and over the large boulders.
