More Anza Borrego Hiking
The hawk canyon is one of the nicest small canyons in the park, the hike gives you best views.
50 Yards past the crossing into Hawk canyon, park.
Take the small wash on the left and start hiking uphill. Some small granite/gravel waterfalls.
Once up the ridge, you find numerous hiking trail.
Just before the last canyon go downhill, cross the canyon to the east side and stay on the east side.
Sometimes there is a trail, but there are some boulders as well.
Watch out where you put your hands, the rocks are really sharp.

How to get here:
The roads are well marked and are good, you need some ground clearance and an AWD is recommended, but probably not needed.
Take the well marked Buttes Pass road, close to mile 87.
Turn right on the next marked crossing and keep left as you meet the Goat trail.
