Itinerary description
More Anza Borrego Hiking
From the S22 North East of Borrego Springs, drive up Rockhouse Trail -> Butler Canyon. High Clearance Car. The entry of the canyon looks rather imposing with large boulders. But it is actually a lot simpler than it looks and after the boulders a rather flat wash makes hiking almost easy if it wasn't for the sand.
We did 2 Hours to the Stopped point and 1.50 Hours return. After the stopped mark the canyon gets very wide and less interesting to hike. There is shade in the canyons on some places. And it can be windy.
