Itinerary description
More Anza Borrego Hiking
At the parking head north, an old marker stands along the trail, walk alongside the S2.
Just before [2], walk on the side of the road for 100 feet and head on the California Riding and Hiking trail on the right.
The trail stays lower, as the main road rises and is way above us to the left. An occasional car passes on this normally quiet road.
Along the road there is a historic marker. Passing [3] a trail heading right into a small canyon.
At point [4] there is a sign and at crossing [5] there may be stone markers, but there may be markers on other places as well.
Move right (south) on what becomes an old jeep track, that at first is not visible as such. Now heading along the jeep track, up the mountain until reaching the top [6].
