Itinerary description
Ready to explore Lisbon? Start at Cais do Sodre Ferry Terminal, where you'll be right next to the beautiful Tagus River. As you walk, enjoy the amazing views of Almada across the river. It's like a postcard come to life!
Next, you'll reach Praca do Comercio, one of Portugal's biggest and most impressive squares. It's huge and full of history! Look out for the big statue of King José I on a horse, which has been there since 1775. There's also a big arch called the Arco da Rua Augusta. It's really grand and was finished in 1875. From here, you can even see the castle we're heading to!
As you walk up, you'll pass the Se of Lisboa, a very important and old church. It's really beautiful. The road we follow is the same one the famous Electrico 28 tram takes. This part of the walk is full of lovely views.
The big highlight is the Castel Sao Jorge. When you get there, you'll see why it's so special. The views from the castle are fantastic – you can see the whole city and the river. It's the perfect spot to see how beautiful Lisbon is.
This walk isn't just about seeing things; it's about feeling the spirit of Lisbon. Whether you're a visitor or a local, young or old, you'll find something to love on this walk.
