Itinerary description

Day 3 of 3 in the Cairngorms. An early start to try and avoid the afternoon storms. Glenmore forest was beautiful in strong sun but very wet from the last nights rain. Kept a high tempo climbing through the forest and onto the first plateau (heading Westward, great views from there). Big mistake to not refill water at this point. Straight up Creag an Leath Choin with the Chalamain gap below to the right. Steep terrain, first bracken, then rocks and then boulder fields. Tried to pace the ascent carefully but low on energy by the summit, in part due to not enough food the day before. Once at the top, a skirt around a small plateau then up the Western 'Wall' to Cairn Lochan. Relieved to summit and some great views. Took the main path down to ski centre which was very nice descent and in great condition (although it takes longer when tired). Good hike, pushed for speed so more sore at the end. Great mix of terrain. A recommender!
