Itinerary description
Pleasant Walk in the quiet area of Flagmount on Lough Graney Co.Clare Ireland. Walk starts at a nice recreation area at the lake with picnic areas and a little sandy beach and wanders through forestry and on minor roads uphill, joining the East Clare Way for a little while offering splendid views onto the lake and East Clare countryside. The Track is well marked in the clockwise direction, but doing it the other way round (which I prefer) you're better off taking your GPS along. Allow 2 hrs 30 mins to 3 hrs. Make sure you know how to get to White Sands safely as this is the car park. When you come from east direction, google maps sends you through impassable overgrown tracks.
The walk itself has some difficult parts because fallen trees are blocking the path.
