Itinerary description
This is the southern half of the Rhymney Valley Riverside Walk, starting from Caerphilly Railway station and ending at Cardiff gate, where there are bus stops for returning to Cardiff City Centre. After some tarmac paths leaving Caerphilly, most of the walk is through farmland. This track avoids a field that had crops growing in it at the time, and another where the route was unclear. A short distance from the path you can visit an Iron Bridge dating from 1829 and the Moody Sow Farm shop and park.
