Itinerary description
It is an extraordinary walk with wonderful view to the Spray lakes and to Canmore. 1,000m elevation gain, quite demanding. At the summit it is very windy! I took this trail in July, there were only a few snowpatches.
The trail starts with a forest hike. Careful not to mix up the walking trail with some sheep trails, there might be a dead end! (As you can see on the trail log I made this mistake.) By 2,100m elevation the forest clears and then the nice view begins.
I have seen some families with kids and also with dogs hiking up on this trail. Well, there must have been trained enough.
