Itinerary description

Near the modern town of Hekal. This archaeological park is home to the ruins of the ancient city of Byllis, which was a significant settlement during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

The city of Byllis was founded by the Illyrians in the 4th century BC and later came under Roman rule.
