Itinerary description

On this occasion we are going to make a climb from the Busteni cable car through Jepii Mare to the cable car that is located in Cabana Babele. It is one of the classic routes in the area, we will have to go through some sections of chains without problems. Before we will pass through the Piatra Arsa refuge. Two other routes also depart from this place, one of them will take you to the Urlatoarea Waterfall. I have done it from the town of Poina Tapalui and the ascent to the Cruz de Caraiman or Cruz de los Héroes by Jepii Mici......
The route is marked by blue triangles and red circles also follow us for a while.
We leave through the upper part of the cable car, to enter the forest, we take some paths that lead us to wade through a stream. Once we have forded, we go up until we reach a crossroads, where the two Jepii separate. We turn left which also takes us in the direction of the Urlatoarei waterfall.
The path begins to enter little by little in the thick forest of fir trees. I love walking through this type of forest. I will be accompanied by the people, just until I reach the detour to the waterfall. Then I will practically continue my way alone.
I begin to gain height progressively. In these mountains, height is quickly gained, due to the great unevenness they have. Loneliness surrounds you among its sounds. We arrive at a viewpoint, although on the way you can see many of them.
The path sometimes becomes narrow and the need to hold on to the ropes or chains is required.
We go through several information panels, indicating the time that we have left until our destination approximately. I really like the trail signage in this area.
We arrived at a refuge called Casa Naturalistilor, which in its day should have been a beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately today it is abandoned. I stop for a while and have a little lunch enjoying its views.
I continue my way almost to the top. I cross one of the trails that runs through the entire upper part of these Montes de Bucegi. I headed towards Piatra Arsa. It is a gigantic hostel. I walk over to him, and I see that there are kids at the windows. I turn back to take the main trail that leads me to Cabana Babele.
Now you start to see people walking around the area. The upper area is much more crowded. In the background I begin to see the cable car poles and Cabana Babele, there is very little left to finish this beautiful route.
I go slowly to be able to enjoy the walk even more, through this area. I wish you enjoy it.

Transport We leave from the Busteni gondola on foot and we will return in the Cabana Babele gondola.

Impresionante recorrido. Hicimos la subida por jepii mici y bajamos por jepii mari hasta Busțeni. Los colores del bosqie en otoño entre hayas, piceas, larix.... Impresionantes.
