Itinerary description

We went to the Burren in County Clare for a three days hiking with a group of friends lead by Tony and Kay. We stayed in Ballyvaughan. This hike through the Burren, along by Gleninagh to Black Head is one of the best hikes I have ever done. First of all, we were broght by car from Ballyvaughan to the point where we started the walk, otherwise it would add another 6km to the hike. When we got to Black Head we hired a minibus to bring us back to Ballyvaughan. Apart from that I will not describe the walk, the photographs describe the hike. The old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Some of the scenery is genuinely breath-taking. The hike is in general moderate, but it does have one or two difficult spots. It is suitable for any reasonably experienced hiker.
