Itinerary description
The road access gate at Walter Boardman Lane was locked so I parked in the very small parking area and walked down to the Red Blaze Trail.
You can normally drive off of Walter Boardman Lane and down to the Red Blaze Trail. However, this day we accepted the extra mile (down and back) trek to the Red Blaze Trail. It was certainly worth it as the path wear and fact I encountered no-one implies this to be a seldom traveled trail. It was mine, all mine this day. :)

Interesting! Didn’t know there was another trailhead south of the park. Is the trail blazed well and maintained?
Yes. Clearly marked and very well maintained. It's actually designed for vehicular traffic down to where the red and yellow meet but they have the gate currently locked. Warning though, the parking at Walter Boardman is extremely limited but it looks as though you can park along the shoulders of Walter Boardman relative easily.
Excellent! Thx!!!
Do you worry about any bears or Any other wildlife around there?
