Itinerary description
Purported to be the "main" entrance it was nothing more than a trail head at a park (Fairchild Oak Park) with two restrooms and some informational signage. I wanted to walk the Red Blaze Trail but was too tired to access from this point. I asked some fellow hikers the best way to access the trail and they suggested the Walter Boardman Ln trail head. I was warned that the gate is currently locked for vehicle traffic but there does exist a few parking spaces (I estimate enough room for five to seven vehicles).
