Itinerary description
7 Ball Trail is a one mile single track with a 450’ climb and a dozen switchbacks. Pretty scenery and moderate exercise. That was a part of the Bullards Bar Trail system I’d not done yet. But wait! There’s more! You also get part of the 8 Ball trail from 7 Ball to Schoolhouse that I’d not done either. The rest of this track was covered in earlier posts and added more scenery and exercise. The whole track was shaded but 7 and 8 Ball are not as lush as nearer the lake. 8 Ball runs along Marysville Road which is mostly out of sight but not earshot. Both are useful if you want to make loops instead of out and backs.
Good quality paved roads to trailhead. There is ample parking (at least in cool weather), no fees and lots of restrooms and picnic tables scattered around parking lots and camping areas.
