Itinerary description
I knew about the place from the taxi driver.
He was taking me from Shiroka Laka to Devin and saw I have a hiking gear with me.
I couldn't find anything on Wikiloc, all I saw are some reviews on Google saying that you will have a nice view over Devin but you have to climb around 350 steps (some said they were exactly 365 but I didn't count them to make sure)
Everyone would suggest to drive to the head trail and start the ascent following the stairs. Some mentioned a longer trail on dirt road. But that was it.
I decided to start walking from the hotel. Sooner than I was expecting (after around 1km), I arrived to the head trail and saw the stairs.
It is a one shot up, I took it slowly and didn't stop. It wasn't easy but not that hard too. Once you are at the top you will forget all about it. For a non frequent hiker, it's gonna be hard.
I would recommend you to do the hike early morning or in the afternoon. Going up those stairs in the middle of the day in summer is not plausible.
At the view point, the scenery over Devin and the surrounding mountains is awesome. I wanted to wait for the sunset but I will have to wait 3 more hours. I am not that patient ;)
I wasn't going to take the same way downhill. So I took a dirt road in the forest. It must lead me somewhere. And it did. It was a great decision.
The forest is mostly Pine trees with some Fagus and Quercus.
It was a very nice walk back to the hotel.
I would say it is an easy to moderate hike only because of the stairs and very easy to follow.
Enjoy and keep it clean !!!

The are lot of side dirt roads
Seems they take you back to the town but I wanted to expend my loop and stay in the forest as much as I can.
