Itinerary description
I am in the small old town of Shiroka Laka.
I loved every detail of this amazing village. The streets, the houses, the restaurants ...
I started on the main road with the Shirokoleshka River on my left.
You can see I took lot of pics of the village because simply it is outstanding. Everywhere you look, you will fall in love more with this place.
You will be walking on the asphalt main road for km and then you take your right and follow a dirt road going uphill. The more the trail goes up the better the view is. You can see that autumn is there. It needs another couple of weeks I guess to be at its best.
Stay on the road till you reach the small village of Varbovo.
At first glance, you think it is all abandoned but the more you get between the houses you will notice there have been some ongoing works to repare the old houses.
I met a young lady and she was explaining to me how the village was mostly empty but now the younger generation is coming back and doing some touristic businesses like guests houses ...
I simply liked walking around and stayed there for almost an hour enjoying the scenery.
After that, you will have to return from the same route and get back to Shiroka Laka.
It is an easy hike.
