Itinerary description
This hill in Bentong town, Pahang although only 1925 feet high is rather challenging. there are a lot of steep climb up rock surfaces with ropes and therefore any hiker attempting this hike must have strong hands to pull himself / herself up these steep surfaces. to get to the trail head, use google maps or waze to hunt for Lorong bentong makmur 22 and the trail head is right at the end of this road where there is a T junction and you ought to turn right and a short distance there is a end of tar road on your left. park you vehicle responsibly as this is a housing estate. from there start hiking down the gravel road and later at a junction keep to the right side until finally you see a jungle trail on your left and there is a sign Bukit Raka nailed to a tree nearby. take that left junction and you are on your way. lots of rope climbing up steep rock surfaces which can be slippery if it rains so do be careful as one slip and your life may be in danger. you cannot afford any slip during this hike. usual leisure tracking time up to peak is about 1 hour 45 minutes if you are a regular hiker.
