Don't be surprised, when halfway up this particular hill, suddenly all the flora there seems to be brand new, with almost zero original trees, in sight. Apparently, through greed/misappropriation/etc.. the state government went and cut down all the trees , halfway up, even with strong protest, from the locals. 5 years on, nothing came out of that particular exercise, but perhaps, lining up those corrupt officials' pockets. Oh well. Welcome to Malaysia.
