Hi. May I know if permit is required in order to hike this Baru Elam Hill? I heard the tower was built by a Orang Asli and people normal engage him as the guide to hike there. Is that compulsory?
No permit required. Tower was built and maintain by Orang Asli and also whole track there. If you hike without Orang Asli you're consider curi masuk. Orang Asli quite frequent guide people go. So the chances Orang Asli saw you to hike i think is not low.
