Itinerary description
This little-known trail is a short, easy, out-and-back trail of about 1.4 miles (0.7-miles each way). The trail is asphalt for the first 0.2 miles and offers views of the Jolly Roger's Marina, wildflowers, and birding opportunities. At the end of the asphalt path, the trail continues another 0.3-miles to a peninsula offering great views across Lake Maumelle. The Audubon Society of Central Arkansas has built an observation deck at the end of the trail for bird observing.
NOTE: Lake Maumelle is a major water source for the LIttle Rock Area and is owned by Central Arkansas Water. Swimming, wading, kayaking, canoeing, and pretty much any activity that puts the body in direct contact with the water is prohibited. Please follow these rules.
