Itinerary description
The unmarked trail to Budd Lake in Yosemite National Park. There is not an official trail to Budd Lake, nor is it shown on any trail map, but it is used so often, it is in pretty good shape for a use trail. The turnoff from the main Cathedral Lakes trail is fairly obvious, especially if you are looking for it. Otherwise, follow the waypoints. On the way out, I took a wrong turn at some point, and continued on the use trail to Cathedral Peak, so again, look for the waypoint to cross the creek toward Budd Lake. A very nice hike to a somewhat hidden gem, which gets far less traffic than Cathedral Lakes. Highly recommended!
