Itinerary description
Just a day trek into this beautiful slot canyon as I bowed out of a three-day permit due to persistent high waters at the confluence. Got an early start from Wire Pass and never encountered a soul on the way in, turned around at the rock fall and continued north toward Buckskin Trailhead before doubling back. The trek is a unique and very rewarding experience.

Not for a day hike, but if you plan to camp in the Gulch overnight you’ll need a permit.
