Itinerary description
Upper Buchanan Creek is one of the wildest and most scenic valleys in the Rockies. The trail up to Buchanan Pass weaves through lush meadows and deep forests, breaking out into flower-carpeted tundra with ever-expanding views to the west. The east side climbs down past rocky streams into the U-shaped glacial valley of the Middle St. Vrain.
