Itinerary description
We were staying at the beautiful Brunton House and decided to walk to the coast. We started our walk from the house but you could start from High or Low Newton, or from Embleton.
The path follows field paths and minor roads to High Newton. Here there are refreshments at the Joiner's Arms. It's then a short walk to the sea at Low Newton, where we actually stopped at The Ship Inn for drinks and a snack.
From there we walked down the beach to Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course and turned inland to Embleton. Refreshments at the golf club and also in Embleton.
From Embleton it was back to Brunton House along minor roads and footpaths.
