Itinerary description
The trail starts and ends in Brûly-de-Pesche.
You need to cross once a river barefoot. Some parts of the trail might be very muddy during wet seasons. The trail follows mainly in the shadow of trees and passes through varied landscapes and types of forest (coniferous, deciduous, mixed, dense or sparse).
From Brûly-de-Pesche you follow the yellow rectangle trail: turn right after the church and go down to Le Bas Brûly where you turn left and go along some ponds.
Then you turn right to a green triangle cyclist trail, pass through a mini-bridge and cut a forested hill to reach the valley of l'Eau Noire. After crossing the river turn left and follow a yellow rectangle trail along a gravel road. When the yellow trail turns right uphill, you continue straight and after a few metres turn slightly to your left into the blue rectangle trail. You go along the valley through different types of forest: this is one of the most rewarding parts of the trail.
Then the blue-marked trail turns right and uphill, until you reach an asphalt road coming from Presgaux. Turn left, follow the asphalt for around half a kilometre, and turn right into the forest following the yellow horseshoe equestrian trail. The trail will turn left and will go downhill until you reach the river of l'Eau Noire again. At some moment you have to cross the river barefoot.
On the other bank you turn left and follow a green rectangle trail for around 1.5 kilometres. At a crossroad next to a small camping place you turn right and follow the blue rectangle trail up to Brûly-de-Pesche.
