Itinerary description
This is a continuous 900 km hike across Southern Ontario, Canada we did in the summer of 2017. Starting at Queenston (Niagara Falls) and terminating in Tobermory. 42 days of walking with 7 rest days. We stayed in B&Bs 5 nights and with friends of friends or family 4 nights. We back country camped the rest. The trail follows a limestone bluff 100-300m in elevation which forms the eastern limb of the Michigan basin Paleozoic carbonate succession. The city of Toronto is visible in the distance from the cliffs along part of the journey and the trail cuts through Carolinian deciduous forests in the south and later Great Lakes-St Lawrence deciduous forest. The final 7 days, north of Wiarton, follows the edge of a spectacular escarpment above the blue waters of Georgian Bay. We camped on white cobble beaches and water was perfect for swimming in July-August. If you are considering to hike this trail get in touch as we have some useful tips. Camping is not common in this part of the world and the locals are curious. See https://brucetrail.org/product-category/downloadable-maps/

I am hoping to do this next summer. I’d like to have your email for suggestions, bnbs that you stayed in and where you camped. Cheers. Brad. Was forced by this app to give a rating. Haven’t done the hike yet.
Hopefully you got it done Brad. If not the trick was to have the Bruce Trail Guide and we stealth camped but only on areas marked actually owned by the Bruce Trail Association now something like 60% of the trail. colinburge@ (North Van, BC Canada) Cheers
