Itinerary description
The main goal of this hike is, of course, to admire the Brúarárfoss waterfalls with their magnificent turquoise colours water. For those of you whose desire ends there, once you've reached the waterfalls (distance: around 3,5km) you can always turn around and walk back the way you came.
For our part, we continued our journey by climbing Mount Hvarf (alt. 238m.), which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape from its summit. BEWARE: Much of the ascent and descent is OFF-TRAIL. As in many other parts of Iceland, there are no well-maintained, signposted paths to the top. Nature is both wild and abundant. In other words, it's an epic trip.
Better to know now than to regret and criticise later.

Very bad route 👎🏻
