Itinerary description
Ample parking at the bottom of Ditchfield lane, no amenities.
We took the Wallaby track back towards Ballarat, not far in you will see a steep incline on the right, you cross the Yarrowee river at this point, shallow at this time of the year and make ascent up the steep incline.
At the top you can follow the dirt fire access tracks or detour and use some of the many mountain bike tacks in the area.
The walk is a mixture of bike tracks, fire access tracks and a short part of gravel road and takes you through the historic goldfields of the 1880's, there are many mine shafts in the area so be careful if you go off track.
The Wallaby lake is a good spot to take a banana break.
