Itinerary description
Took off from Quartz Mountain entrance not using a trail and headed towards a dormant volcano mountain in the distance. I followed a dry water bed to the highway and back to the gate. Strong winds from the north made for a chilly walk at the beginning and I’m glad I took extra water.
