Itinerary description
Start and finish on the Steiglitz - Durdidwarrah road next to the Upper Stoney Creek reservoir.
Head through the gate and take the Waterhole track and follow until you reach Lease road, left here and walk about 100 metres and take the Bracken track to your right, follow this until you reach the Steiglitz - Durdidwarrah road again, cross over and follow the Burchell trail markers ( orange triangles ) to the Old Mill camp ground, a good place for a snack, there are toilets here up the hill.
Follow the trail to the left and keep left until you leave the Burchell trail and head back up towards the Steiglitz road again. There are a lot of grass trees in this area.
On reaching the the Steiglitz road turn right and follow for approximately .6 klm, here you will take the Koala track and back to your starting point.
The trail is through some scubby bush in places and grass tree forest in other area, trail is easy to follow and is mainly over old fire tracks, the only exception is the .6 klm of bush dirt road. Reasonably flat except tor the decent to and climb out of the Old Mill Camp grounds.
