Itinerary description
The suspension bridge was dismantled about two years ago, and the debris was stacked up near the former bridge site. A dozen voluteers from VftT organized by Uni_dogger, helped with removal of some of the debris. About half of the materials have been removed by previous groups. We removed timbers, nuts, bolts, steel plate, turnbuckles and cable. It is a three mile carry out to the dumping site where it can be brought out by truck. If you want to participate, take less than you think you can carry. Four steel plates and a couple handfuls of bolts get VERY heavy after a mile or so.
