Itinerary description
Really nice hike.
The weather was great, cold but sunny. A lovely winters morning.
Park in the village of Bree and walked from there to the trailhead which is about 1km on a nice lane with virtually no traffic.
The trail itself is very well kept and signposted. There are 3 different routes you can take, red, green and blue. I took the blue trail which is the longest at around 10km.
Amazing views in the morning as you climb the hill with the sun shining across the Wexford countryside.
The forest is very pleasant and the trail is in good condition.
There is a mountain bike club that uses the hill with lots of trails that criss-crossing the trail. They are very well done and there are lots of signs telling you when the mountain bike trails cross the walking trail.
Really enjoyed this hike and I plan to come back and do the other trails here.
