Itinerary description
The Quixadá region in Northeastern Brazil is famous for its monoliths as well as for its magnificant dam, the Barragem do Cedro (Cedar Dam). The dam was one of the first major Brazilian government projects in the Sertão, the semi-dry region in the brazilian Northeast.
The trail starts/ends at the Hotel Monólitos, opposite Quixadá bus station, passes the dam and a newly developed urban area. Be aware: The walk is mainly in the heat. Take lots of water and sun protection.
