Itinerary description
This trail is part of Orjen - Lovcen - Rumija transversalis. Can be done both ways. Fairly marked and most markings still visible. The only tricky part is right before the monastery Sv. Spiridon / Ogradjenica as there were some trees torn laying on the ground and the trail was almost invisible plus a few paths crossing further down with no markings showing the way, so my suggestion would be just to continue on the gravel road until you reach the monastery, easier and shorter.
After the 1st part lots of shade on the way so fine to do even in summer. For views you'd have to visit the Kosmac castle (which I had visited before and therefore skipped this time) and climb either Goli vrh (you'll see the sign where to turn off the road, the trail to the top leads left) or Velji Kosmac (no signs though, but it's some time after a small church Sv.Ilija, the trail to the top goes right). It was a cloudy day so I did not bother this time.
There's Mrtvica water spring closer to the castle and water at the monastery.
It's possible to cut the trail short at Krstac pass and be down on the road in 5min. But if you're continuing towards Sutorman, then you should continue to Bijele Poljane.

A very fine walk. The trail down to the coast starting about 1.1km SE of Kosmac was the only one that we could find but too soon to head down so carried on. We could not find any of the other paths down that were marked on the information board at the start of the route. The path into Ogradenica is there but it starts by following a track and unobtrusively forks off to the right. We missed it and cut the corner through the scrub so didn't actually notice the junction. It's a nice path though.
