Itinerary description

This route starts and finishes at Bozika's tavern. There is a shortcut on the way back, when the tavern is in sight, you can walk straight towards the tavern or, as we did, go for another climb with nice views. We called it the turtle road because we saw many black turtles.
On the way we met a shepherd with sheep. Be careful when you come across a herd. The dogs are protecting the sheep or the goats, so keep your distance and listen to the shepherd.
The air is filled with scents of herbs. Big chance you can hear the bells of goats or sheep nearby. The higher you climb, the more silent it becomes. Cars rarely pass. The view is over two valleys and the village of Kastraki. The walk first goes in the direction of Kastraki, but we did not enter it. behind Bozikas you can see the sea. You can also see Nemea. The road is comfortable except one little part which we went a little aside the road. You will need good comfortable shoes. We did this walk the end of May, and on some curves up high you feel a fresh seabreeze to cool down. There are nice places to sit down everywhere, take a plaid with you if you like. Enjoy!
