Itinerary description
This is an easy urban hike and parts of it make you forget you are in downtown Nanaimo! The trails are well maintained and include interpretive signage. The Millstream River in Bowen Park was putting on a good show on this fall day with lots of water pouring over the falls. Buttertubs Marsh is a bird watchers delight. On this day, in addition to the many ducks we spotted a Blue Heron (see picture).
