Itinerary description

Nice little hike starting from Cocoon Hotel La Rive. Starts out easy along the river, along the railway tracks and then cuts up into the woods with a climb up to the castle.

After visiting the castle (some amazing views) descends down the backside of the hill through the woods toward the river again. Cross over the river and along the road (+/-500 m) into the village of Michelau.

From there it’s a fairly easy climb out of the village with amazing views of the castle and valley. Towards the top it gets a bit steep for a while. Once at the top and view of the fields it’s a steep descent back down towards the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed it
