Itinerary description

Did this hike via the Queen Mine route on June 6, 2014. Due to road conditions, we parked the 2wd Jeep Patriot about 1 mile from the large turnaround/camping spot near the major mining remains. The first 1/2 of this hike is over a well-defined trail, and we were fortunate enough to see the herd of horses along the ridge. The second half is steep, over loose talus, with a bit of route finding, which is why I categorized the hike as difficult.
