Itinerary description
Start at Bothenhampton, through Nature Reserve to ridge, through fields to Burton Bradstock, to Hive Beach, along the coast path to West Bay (we walked on the beach from Freshwater but the official trail is on the cliffs), then on the railway trail back to Bothenhampton.

If you take the beach route to West Bay this walk is definitely moderate. The road to the start of the trail is quite narrow but opens up to a few houses with on road parking. Shortly after the start you will be greeted with spectacular views across West Bay and Burton Bradstock. For those who like to know where their next toilet break is. You’ll be pleased to know that there is a toilet block by the recreation ground around the halfway point.
