Itinerary description
This is a semi-circular walk, commencing at Mirycarr Lane, off Thorner Lane, which is raeched by the number 7 Leeds to Harrogate bus and finishing on the A64 by the Seacroft roundabout, where a bus can be caught into Leeds.
The tour is mostly flat; the start at Mirycarr Lane is the muddiest stretch. After this, the tour follows the bed of a disused railway line and then picks up the Leeds Country Way before crossing the A64 to carry on to Barwick.
After crossing Potternewton Beck, the route is not immediately obvious but follows the line of the hedge.
In Scholes, the route follows the bed of the old railway line, but in the opposite direction.
After Chippy's pond, I had to scramble up a bank before being able to join Wood Lane.
The tour offers views over open fields and quick going.
