Itinerary description
This is just a random circular walk around the woods and heathland of Austerlitz. It starts out from a parking area located along N224, Woudenbergseweg.
The track runs through the green area between Austerlitz and Zeist, passing along the areas of Krakeling, Smidsput and D'Ouwe kamp. There was hardly a soul we met on these paths, even though the parking area was full to its limit on a Friday afternoon.
From the carpark there are a few signposted tracks and there is an info panel with a map of the Staatsbosbeheer area: Bossen van Austerlitz. There are plenty of paths to follow here, hardly any of them is concrete or tarmac.
