Itinerary description
The route is simple, it’s starts from the borjomi city park. In the park you will have an option to fill up your water. And then climb up to the plateau.
You will need pass Sadgeri village, in the village you can find small shop with drinks and snacks.
After you passed the village, the road will climbs up, and you will able to see the Lomismta peak. When you will get to the Tba village, you can see the panorama to the mountain ridge of Nedzvi National Park from the hill with the cross near to the church.
In the centre of the village you will see another shop.
After turn near to the shop, you will pass the dirt road and get to the field with nice view to the plateau and mountains of the Meskhetian ridge.
By the road you will get to the edge of the plateau, that’s time to stop follow my track, because I was starting go down by the forest slope. I did not know is there any road, because it’s no road on the map.
But after 50 meters of hiking by the stiff forest slope, I’ve got the road which is not on the maps.
The road starts nearby Tba Church, so you need to go there and find the road.
The road follows to the Old Daba Monastery, builded in XIV century. There you can rest and fill up the water from the spring.
Then concrete road will get you to the narrow gauge railway. You can follow it and see abandoned railway station Daba. It’s interesting because the building made from black tuff which excavated in Armenia. There a lot of completely black buildings in Armenia (Gyumri city). But that’s is not usual for the Georgia.
In Daba village you can hike to old castle, in the gallery you can see the photos of this castle in the year 1912.
From Daba you can get the car or catch the bus to Borjomi or Bakuriani.

Looks like the path to daba (that was not, read description)
I was thinking that it may be the trail through the forest to Daba, but actually it was end in 10 meters, then I was need to walk thought to pure forest on high slope, until I get the road which is not on the map. So I think if you will just go further to the plateau ridge, you will find the road without need to shortcut thought the forest.

Abandoned railway station
The building is unique, that’s have a black facade, not because it’s burned. That’s is a black Tufa, stone which mined nearby Gyumri city in Armenia. You can Google “black buildings gyumri” that’s really beautiful, and not usual in the Georgia.
