Itinerary description
Flat walk thru a busy tourist path with vendors, games, a ropes course, and various dilapidated attractions. As of August 2019, pay 2 Lari to enter the park; 5 Lari for the pools. Apparently you can rent a towel at the pools for 5 Lari.
Eventually you get to a peaceful walk along the river that heads to the pools. It was warm and lovely, not too crowded at late evening, almost empty actually.
I took a shuttle halfway there and took lots of breaks so the times listed in the Wikiloc stats are deceiving. It’s not that long of a hike but took me probably a little less than an hour to get back to the park entrance.
Note that at about 7:30 pm the shuttles stopped and it was a little creepy walking back alone thru the dark path, but I was assured it’s safe / nobody was going to attack me. Eventually I ran into other park dwellers and became less creeped out.
