Itinerary description

Odijevo is not frequently hiked peak in Orjen mountain but if you like peaks with great views and something that can be done in summer too as the trail's got lots of shade (but do watch out for vipers), then it's a good choice. We did it end of June when the temperatures had already started plummeting.
Start of our trail was in Borici (the old motel) where we parked the car. Some cars can make it even further up the gravel road but don't really see the point unless you utterly dislike walking on wide gravel roads. Borici can be reached from Meljine driving towards Herzegovian border, at Kamenovo turn right towards Zlijebi, and then left where the roadsign directs to Subra. At the end of the paved road there's an abandoned building with plenty of parking space. If you haven't got a car, a local bus should take you nearby from where you'd have to walk up, or otherwise take a taxi. Shall you have some time on the way back, the village of Zlijebi is worth a visit for its stone architecture and great views.
The gravel road leads to Vratlo pass, we did not go up the Starcevic serpentines as our trail led left from the pass, also the mountain hut is a few meters straight from the pass and the marked trail actually starts from there but I wanted to make it shorter and more direct so we took the trail left through the forest and eventually were on the marked trail farther on. There was reasonably enough shade but lots of grass as well, Subra can be perfectly seen from Duboki do. From Sljeme the trail is more technically demanding and the final part was rather overgrown with vegetation, it took us more time to the top as we cleared the fallen branches and stepped on the plants to make it passable and visible but reckon it won't take too much time until it's overgrown again.
The views from the top are rewarding😉 But, it's completely bare with no shade at all.
I did not dare return along the ridge (there is no marked trail) and via Kamenski kabao as a woman with us barely made it to the top so we walked the same way back ending up at the mountain hut for some local herbal infusion💃
