Grimsstadir - Grímstaðamúli
This walk in Grímstaðamúli mount is located 20 km north from Borgarnes. It boasts great views of the broad Borgarfjordur fjord and Hafnarfjall mountains. Rather easy stroll.
It starts from the Grimsstadir farm. There is no marked trail with signs, but the way is up and easy to figure out until a pond, it makes a circle. The path does not lead to the summit of Grímstaðamúli but turns halfway to head its western slope called Mulaköst.
The return goes through the descent of the small torrent Stekká (complicated in some places a bit steep, especially if it's wet, be careful).
